The architecture studio M2 Senos Arquitectos was founded in 2007 by Sofia and Ricardo Senos, with the mission of developing studies and projects of architecture, rehabilitation and urban design. Balancing imagination and reality, the studio focuses on always trying to find the most creative and assertive solutions for its clients. Through an interdisciplinary collaboration, it is present through all phases of the project, from conception to execution, ensuring the best accompaniment of all specialties. It places special attention to the follow up of work, working closely with the client and the builder.
Its works have been internationaly published in architecture magazines and journals like Phaidon Atlas, Dezeen, Divisare, Archtizer, or Trends Magazine.

Sofia Senos
ArchitectSofia Senos (Ílhavo, 1983) holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Coimbra (2008), and has a master’s degree in Teaching Visual Arts from the University of Aveiro (2011). As a student, Sofia studied for a year in Rome and worked in Madrid. In 2016 taught History of Portuguese Architecture I and II in Universidade Lusófona. Currently Sofia is a PhD Student, dedicating her investigation to industrial colonies, picturesque, folkloric language, utopic socialism and urban identity.
Ricardo Senos
ArchitectRicardo Senos (Ílhavo, 1975) holds a degree in Architecture from the University Lusíada of Porto (1999), and has a master’s degree in Teaching Visual Arts from the University of Aveiro (2014). PhD Student in Department of Architecture, University Lusófona of Oporto, dedicating his investigation to single-family housing (2017). Research work was selected by the CA2RE Conference Scientific Committee to integrate the CA2RE Conference program in April 2018 at Aahrus School of Architecture, Denmark. Subsequent participation in their conferences between 13.-16. APRIL 2018, formalized in an article in CA2RE Conference for Artistic and Architectural (Doctoral) research in June 2018.
Currently, he’s a PhD student and external researcher at CIAUD – Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design (Covilhã Hub).
